In short

  • Paradiso Umzüge dismantles office, meeting and phone booths, transports them and reassembles them at the new location.
  • The service is aimed at businesses and covers all Berlin boroughs (Bezirke).
  • Dismantling and reassembly can also be scheduled outside business hours.
  • We only connect booths that run off a plug; hardwired connections are a job for a qualified electrician.

How moving a booth works

  1. 01

    Booth details

You send us the model, outer dimensions, photos and, if possible, the assembly instructions. From that we plan the number of movers, tools and time needed. If you like, we can look at the booth on site.

  2. 02

    Dismantling

We take the booth apart in the order given in the assembly instructions: fittings, ceiling, door, glass and wall elements. Every part is labeled; screws and fittings go into their own labeled bags.

  3. 03

    Transport

Glass and wall elements are padded individually, loaded upright and secured in the truck so they cannot shift. Nothing presses on edges or seals.

  4. 04

    Reassembly

At the new location we reassemble the booth according to the manufacturer's instructions, level it, adjust the door and fit the seals properly. We plug the ventilation and lighting back in, then check the booth together with you.

Delicate booth panels are padded and transported upright.

Why acoustic booths need care

Glass and wall panels
Doors and fronts are often made of glass, the walls of coated acoustic panels. Scratches or dented edges are visible straight away and are difficult to repair on site.
Seals and joints
Soundproofed booths depend on panels, door and ceiling fitting tightly together. If a seal sits crooked after reassembly, sound gets through the gap. That is why we always follow the manufacturer's assembly instructions when reassembling.
Same condition as before
The aim is a booth that is put together at the new location exactly as it was at the old one: the same parts in the same place, with the same fittings. Labeling everything during dismantling makes this possible.

What we need to know in advance

We plan with these details so that the parts, the elevator and the routes all fit together.

Elevator
Inside dimensions of the elevator car, door width and permitted load. Long wall elements do not fit in every elevator.
Routes and doors
Width of corridors, doors and stair landings at both locations, especially at corners and fire doors.
Ceiling height at the destination
Assembly needs some clearance above the booth so the ceiling panel can be fitted. The minimum height is given in the assembly instructions.
Weight of individual parts
What matters are the heaviest single parts, usually the glass door, wall elements or a furniture module. The figures are in the data sheet; please send it to us.
Building management
Book the elevator, sort out the loading zone and access, and have keys or access cards ready for both buildings.
Outside business hours, too
Dismantling and reassembly are also possible outside business hours, so there is less disruption to your office. Just tell us what timing works for you when you request a quote.

Prepare the booth

  • Remove personal items, devices and loose cables from the booth. Leave the booth and its fixed components assembled; our crew handles dismantling and reassembly.
  • Find the assembly instructions and data sheet, or request them from the dealer
  • Choose and mark the booth's location at the new site, with a working power outlet within reach
  • If the manufacturer's warranty matters to you, ask the manufacturer or dealer in advance how third-party dismantling and reassembly may affect it
  • Name a contact person for moving day

Arrange technical details

  • Arrange a qualified electrician before the move for hard-wired electrical connections, new outlets or work on the distribution board.
  • Coordinate reconnection of the booth's network and media systems at the new site with your IT team or service provider.
  • Have the manufacturer or dealer check any parts already missing or damaged before the move, and arrange replacements if needed.
  • For the booth's sound insulation rating, request the technical data sheet from the manufacturer.

What else comes up in an office move

Questions about office and phone booths

Which booths do you dismantle and reassemble?

Office, meeting and phone booths, including soundproofed single and group booths. So that we can estimate the work involved, send us the model, dimensions and ideally the assembly instructions or photos of the booth.

Do you reconnect the booth at the new location?

Yes, if it runs off a plug: we plug the ventilation and lighting back in and check that everything works. Hardwired connections or new outlets are a job for a qualified electrician.

Will the booth fit in the elevator and through the stairwell?

The booth is transported in individual parts. What matters is the largest part, usually a wall element or the glass door. Measure the inside of the elevator, the elevator door and the corridor widths and compare the figures with the data sheet.

Can you dismantle and reassemble booths outside business hours?

Yes, dismantling and reassembly are also possible outside business hours. That way, there is less disruption to your day-to-day office operations. Let us know your preferred timing when you request a quote, and check with building management that the building and elevator are accessible at that time.

Will the booth be just as quiet after the move?

We reassemble the booth according to the manufacturer's instructions and refit its panels and seals precisely. For model-specific sound insulation ratings, request the technical data sheet from the manufacturer.

Are the booths insured during transport?

Paradiso Umzüge has business liability insurance and transport insurance. We will answer any questions about the scope of cover before you commit.
